Mazda CX-90
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 comes in eight trims: Turbo Select, Turbo Preferred, Turbo Preferred Plus, Turbo Premium, Turbo Premium Plus, Turbo S, Turbo S Premium, and Turbo S Premium Plus. The CX-90 boasts three rows of seating with room for six, seven or 8 passengers and it comes with standard all-wheel drive. This mid-size SUV is powered by a 3.3L turbocharged 6-cylinder that produces 280 horsepower and an impressive 332 pound-feet of torque at just 2,000 rpm. The Turbo S trims uses the same engine tuned to produce 340 horsepower with premium gasoline or 319 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque with regular 87-octane. Power is sent to the wheels by an 8-speed automatic transmission. The CX-90 has an impressive EPA-estimated mileage of 24-city and 28-highway mpg.
Even the base model is nicely equipped, with three rows of seating for up to eight passengers, 3-zone automatic climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, power driver seat, push-button start, Mazda Connect infotainment system with a 10.25-inch display screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rearview camera, and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity. The exterior of the CX-90 is highlighted by 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED taillights, heated mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. Safety features include an active lane departure system, forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, rear-cross traffic alert, brake support and blind spot monitoring.
The Turbo Preferred Plus trim features a heavy-duty radiator, power sunroof, heated front seats, leather upholstery, 6 USB ports, and a head-up display.
The Turbo Premium Plus adds post collision braking, a larger sunroof, power folding auto dimming side mirrors, exterior chrome accents, auto-high beams, 21-inch wheels, ventilated power front seats, seating for 7, heated rear seats, satellite radio, a 12-speaker sound system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, voice activated navigation, a garage door transmitter, 120V AC power outlet, wireless device charging, a 12.3-inch gauge cluster, a heated steering wheel, front cross traffic mitigation, a traffic sign information system, and surround view cameras.
At the top of the lineup the Turbo S Premium Plus trim includes a bigger gas tank, adaptive headlights, an auto dimming rear view mirror, seating for 6, heated and cooled second-row seats, real-time traffic and weather display, semi-autonomous cruise control, a ground view camera, a heated power tilting and telescopic steering wheel, heated wipers, front and rear parking sensors, rear pedestrian detection and a front cross traffic alert.
Standard safety features across the trim lineup include active lane departure, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, front pedestrian detection and a driver attention alert. All Turbo S trims also feature forward collision mitigation with left turn assist, rear collision mitigation, an active driver monitoring system and a traffic sign information system.
