Chevrolet Equinox EV
The Chevrolet Equinox is an impressive contender in the compact crossover/SUV EV segment.
The Equinox has one electric motor that produces 288 horsepower, with a GM estimated 0-60 in 5.9 seconds and a towing capacity of up to 1500 lbs. when properly equipped.
Several trims are available on the front-wheel drive Equinox EV, the LT w/2LT, LT s/3LT, RS w/2RS, RS w/3RS, RS w/0RP and RS w/0RS.
Standard equipment on all trims includes Stabilitrak stability control, traction control, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, 8 airbags, satellite radio, LED headlights, Bluetooth and OnStar with 4G LTE and Wi-Fi hotspot readiness. Power windows, door locks, remote keyless entry, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, as well as power mirrors, a power liftgate, and heated front seats round out the generous standards list.
The LT w/3LT and RS w/3RS add ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, driver seat memory, dual zone climate control, a garage door transmitter, and heated wipers. The RS w/0RS adds a second electric motor, automatic parking sensors, an active driver attention monitor, and a sport steering wheel.
Standard safety features across the lineup include parking sensors, active lane departure, active blind spot, forward and rear collision mitigation, front and rear pedestrian detection, front cross traffic mitigation, a traffic sign information system and a following distance alert.
