Mercedes-Benz EQS
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS is available in three models: 450, 450+, and 580. The new 450 is powered by an electric motor that produces 355 horsepower with 340 miles of range. The 450+ is powered by an electric motor that produces 329 horsepower with 350 miles of range. The 580 model produces a substantial 516 horsepower and has a range of 340 miles. Mercedes claims the 450+ has an acceleration of 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds while the 580 reduces that number to 4.1 seconds.
The EQS boasts a 56-inch inch widescreen MBUX Hyperscreen display across the front dash which uses artificial intelligence to bring features and commands to the surface on the go. Mercedes is pushing technology to new heights with the Three-Pointed Staran AI system that listens, learns your face and fingerprint and adapts to your habits.
Standard features on the EQS include 20-inch alloy wheels, a self-leveling AIRMATIC? air suspension, LED headlamps and daytime running lights, a power sunroof, heated power folding side mirrors with turn signal indicators, and chrome accents round out the exterior. The interior is luxury at its finest with leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power adjustable front seats with memory settings, LED ambient lighting in the dash, and doors with 64 colors to choose from, a 15-speaker premium sound system is paired to the HD Satellite radio, a 12.8 touch screen, navigation, 6 USB ports, wireless device charging, Bluetooth and smart phone integration round out the inside features.
The 580 model adds a second-row sunroof, 21-inch wheels, dual-zone climate controls, a 17.7-inch touchscreen as well as a 12.3-inch passenger touchscreen, and a power tilting and telescoping leather wrapped steering wheel.
Safety is key with 7 airbags, adaptive cruise control, an unresponsive driver assist system, automated parking assist, active blind spot and lane departure, forward collision mitigation with cross traffic warning, rear collision mitigation, a pedestrian detection system, a driver attention alert and a traffic sign information display.
