The all-wheel drive Mazda CX-70 Plug-In Hybrid is available in two trims: Premium Package and Premium Plus Package. Mazda keeps things pretty simple with a single powertrain option for the CX-70 Plug-In Hybrid a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine making 185 horsepower mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The addition of the electric motor increases the power to 323 horsepower and produces an all-electric range of 25 miles. The base model CX-70 Plug-In Hybrid is more basic than other versions but is still equipped with plenty of nice features. Air conditioning with separate rear controls, adaptive cruise control, power door locks and power windows are all generally expected, and all are present. However, more upscale items that come standard on the Premium Package include 21-inch wheels, a power liftgate, power sunroof, heated front seats, a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, rearview camera, LED headlamps and daytime running lights and audio controls on the steering wheel. The Premium Plus Package trim adds power folding side mirrors, cooled front seats, heated rear seats, surround view cameras, and a heated leather steering wheel. Numerous safety systems come standard 8 airbags, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, active lane departure, active blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, front pedestrian detection, a driver attention alert and a traffic sign information system. The Premium Plus Package also adds rear collision mitigation and a front cross traffic system.
