The iX is powered by two electric motors that provide a range of 288 miles on a single charge. The xDrive50 is capable of 516 horsepower while the M60 increases that to 610 horsepower. BMW claims the iX can perform at a performance level with the ability to travel 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Every BMW iX comes equipped with the new Flexible Fast Charger. This portable device is compatible with any 120V or 240V outlet, delivers optimized charging for the iX. BMW claims that 10 minutes of charging time on a DC Fast charger will yield 90 miles of driving distance. Exterior features on the iX xDrive50 include 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and daytime running lights, heated power folding side mirrors, a fixed Panoramic Moonroof with liquid crystals embedded in it allows for instantaneous shading effect when desired, a power liftgate, and a front kidney grille doubles as an intelligence panel with sensor technology. In the interior BMW takes sustainability to a whole new level with the iX using materials such as olive-leaf tanned leathers, FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood, and floor mats made from ECONYL (regenerated nylon made from ocean waste). Standard features include seating for 5, heated front seats, multi-zone climate control with separate rear controls, cruise control, a navigation system, an integrated garage door opener, an HD Satellite radio with 12-speakers, a 14.9-inch touchscreen, wireless device charging, 6 USB ports. The M60 adds a sport suspension, adaptive headlamps, 21-inch wheels, 12-way ventilated massaging front seats, heated armrest, heated rear seats, a premium sound system with 30 speakers, head-up display, surround view cameras, and a heated sport steering wheel. The iDrive 8 Operating System with cloud-based navigation monitors the charge levels and locates nearby charging stations, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto connectivity is standard, as well as the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. Safety features include a rear view camera, front and rear Park Distance Control, BMW Assist eCall? includes Emergency Request (SOS button) and Enhanced Automatic Collision Notification, an Active Driving Assistant which includes Frontal Collision Warning, Active Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and Speed Limit Info and Acoustic pedestrian protection.
